Hasbro, through Wizards of the Coast, has announced a partnership with Games Global to create a Dungeons & Dragons-themed online slot machine. The first release from this collaboration, Dungeons & Dragons: Tales of Riches, is set to launch in Q1 2025, developed by Neon Valley Studios.
As part of D&D’s 50th-anniversary celebration, Hasbro aims to expand its franchise into iGaming, leveraging the brand’s global recognition. However, the move has sparked backlash among fans, with many calling it a corporate cash grab rather than a meaningful tribute to the game’s legacy.
Despite the criticism, Hasbro and Games Global promise that this slot game will capture the spirit of Dungeons & Dragons while offering an immersive experience for casino players. The press release hints at more D&D-themed gambling content in the future, signaling a broader push into online gaming.

This feels like a weird fit. D&D is all about strategy, storytelling, and player choice — slot games are the complete opposite. If Hasbro really wanted to expand into gaming, why not do something closer to an interactive experience instead of a random spin mechanic?

honestly i think it’s a cool idea. d&d has such rich lore, and if the slot actually uses that creatively, it could be really fun. plus, neon valley usually does solid work, so i’m curious to see how it turns out.

This feels like hasbro milking the brand again... d&d’s about imagination and storytelling, not spinning reels for cash! Calling it a “tribute” just sounds like PR fluff to me 😬

So they’re turning D&D into a slot machine now? 😑 I get the anniversary hype, but this just screams “let’s milk the brand.” D&D was about imagination and storytelling, not spinning reels for cash.

Yeah, I get the concern, but honestly? If Neon Valley Studios nails the visuals and ties in lore stuff, it might actually be fun. As long as it’s not just generic fantasy with the D&D logo slapped on.

corporate move 100%. this ain’t for players, it’s for profits lol
they coulda done an RPG collab or something cool but nah… casino it is 🎲💸
Fair point, but to be fair, the iGaming space is exploding, and Hasbro wants a slice. At least it’s not some random studio — Games Global usually works with solid devs. Let’s wait and see how it turns out.v
