Is Gambling Hard to Quit?

Gambling can be incredibly difficult to quit, even when you know it’s harming you. Some say it’s just about self-control, but for many, it’s not that simple. Curious to hear your thoughts

Seriously, quitting gambling is like trying to stop breathing sometimes. It’s not just self-control; it’s about the rush and the escape from reality. Anyone else feel that way?

Totally get what you're saying. I used to think I could just stop anytime, but honestly, it felt like I was chasing that high. You ever notice how the wins feel great, but the losses just eat at you?

Yeah, it’s a vicious cycle! I’ve seen folks lose everything but still go back for “one more chance.” Why do we do that? Is it the thrill or the denial?

t’s like you convince yourself you can win it back. But deep down, you know it’s just a trap. Anyone ever tried therapy or support groups? Did it help?

I went to a couple of meetings. It was eye-opening, but man, the shame is real. Some people just don’t get it. You can’t just “stop.” It’s a mental game too, ya know?
