Promoting a gambling site during a charity stream

Popular streamer Shroud has sparked controversy after promoting a gambling site during a charity stream. While raising funds for a good cause, the move has drawn mixed reactions, with some questioning the ethics of linking gambling sponsorships to charitable efforts.

not a good look imo... mixing gambling promos with charity kinda sends the wrong message. people are donating to help others, not to be pitched bonus codes or casinos. there’s a time and place for that stuff, and a charity stream ain’t it.

Honestly, promoting a gambling site during a charity stream feels tone-deaf. Doesn’t matter if the money’s going to a good cause — mixing addiction-prone content with charity just sends the wrong message. Big streamers should know better.

I get the concern, but let’s be real — that promo probably brought in way more viewers and donations. If the end result is more money for the charity, does it really matter how it got there?
