Tried using DraftKings Casino from Texas with a VPN

I live in Austin and wanted to bet on draftkings in Texas. So I fired up a VPN, set it to New Jersey, made an account, verified my email, and loaded $100 via crypto.

First few spins were fine. Played Blackjack and a couple of slots for an hour. But then I got flagged during a withdrawal attempt. They hit me with a “location verification failure” and locked the account.

Support asked for a state-issued ID and geolocation proof - stuff I couldn’t provide from Texas. My account’s now frozen, and I’m probably not getting my money back.

Lesson learned: VPNs don’t beat geofencing. DraftKings uses both browser and device-level location checks. If you're in a restricted state, like Texas, you’re gambling with more than your bankroll - you’re risking getting shut out entirely

I was dumb enough to drop $250 thinking the VPN would hold up. Got nuked in 24 hours. Crypto deposit vanished. No sympathy, no refund. Total loss. DraftKings ain't the one to mess with.

I’ve been running a setup with residential proxies and mobile tethering, been going strong for months. Maybe you guys are just sloppy with cookies or browser data? Gotta cover all tracks.

It’s your own fault tbh. Terms say no access from restricted states. You broke that, they caught you, end of story. Don’t gamble if you can’t take the hit. Simple as that 🤷‍♂️
